The Definition

What is bridal party hair and makeup?

Bridal party hair and makeup is professional styling for the bridesmaids, mothers, flower girls, and other family members getting ready with the bride.

Paige Anderson Makeup and Hair Artists handles parties of 2 to 15+ across DFW with one team lead managing the full sequence — and additional licensed artists brought in for parties of six or more, so parallel stations keep your morning on time.

The Party

Who’s covered in a bridal party booking.

01 / Party

Bridesmaids & Maid of Honor

Hair and makeup designed to complement the bride without upstaging her — coordinated palette, individual application. Soft natural glam is the most common request; soft smoky, classic glam, and airbrush-finish looks are all bookable.

02 / Family

Mother of the Bride & Groom

Age-appropriate styling that photographs well and complements the wedding palette. Polished and recognizably "her," not a dramatic transformation. Typically scheduled just before the bride so the look is fresh for the ceremony.

03 / Smallest Guests

Flower Girls & Children Under 12

Gentle, age-appropriate styling — simple hair (often half-up or braids with a small floral accent) and optional light makeup (tinted lip balm and mascara, if parents approve). Scheduled when the child is calmest, usually mid-morning.

Investment

How much does bridal party hair and makeup cost in Dallas?

Per service means per hair or per makeup — most bridesmaids book both for $250 total per person.

Bridesmaid / Bridal Party ages 12+ from$125
Bridal Party — with Paige premium from$150
Flower Girl / Under 12 from$50
Mother of the Bride / Groom Trial optional from$450
Men’s Grooming add-on from$75

Children’s services are included at no charge in the premium package. Final pricing depends on date, party size, and travel.

The Morning

How long does each person take?

Plan on 45–60 minutes per person for hair, and 30–45 minutes for makeup. Bridesmaids and mothers fall in the middle of that range; flower girls are faster (15–20 minutes each).

The bridal party is scheduled in parallel for parties of six or more — multiple artists work simultaneously at separate stations so no one waits in line.

2 people 90–120 min
6 people 3–4 hrs
10 people 5–6 hrs
The Method

Coordinating a cohesive look across the party.

The hardest part of bridal party styling isn’t the individual application — it’s making different faces, hair textures, and skin tones look like they belong at the same wedding.

  1. 01

    Shared palette, individual application.

Eye, lip, and cheek colors stay in the same family across the party — but intensity is calibrated per person. Same palette, personal execution.

  2. 02

    Hair direction, not hair uniformity.

The party chooses a direction (all down, all up, half-up, or mixed) and the specific style adapts to each person’s hair length and texture — an updo on thick hair is structurally different from one on fine hair.

  3. 03

    Reference photos from the trial.

The bride’s trial look is photographed and shared with the team. Every party member’s look is calibrated against the bride’s — same wedding, same palette, complementary, not matching.

Having one team lead through the booking means one person knows every party member’s preferences, timing constraints, and sequence — no handoffs during your wedding morning.

On-Location

We come to your getting-ready suite.

Hotel, venue bridal room, or private residence.

Bridal party hair and makeup is almost always delivered on-location. The team arrives with professional lighting, airbrush compressors, full product kits, and parallel-station capacity — so a six-person party can move through three stations simultaneously.

DFW travel is included; $3 per mile applies beyond. For destination weddings, we travel nationally and internationally.

Frequently Asked

Bridal party questions.

Do bridesmaids pay individually or is it one bill?

The bride’s choice. Most bookings are contracted and paid through the bride as a single contract. Some brides prefer each bridesmaid to pay for her own services — in that case, each bridesmaid is invoiced separately. Mixed arrangements are also accommodated when communicated at booking.

Can bridesmaids book just hair or just makeup?

Yes. Per-service pricing means each bridesmaid can book hair only ($125), makeup only ($125), or both ($250). Common when bridesmaids have existing hairstylists they’re bringing or strong individual preferences.

What if bridesmaids have very different skin tones or hair textures?

Expected and built into the coordination strategy. The shared-palette-with-calibrated-intensity approach is designed specifically for parties with different skin tones, hair textures, and face shapes. Every bridal party has this variation — the coordination makes it look intentional.

Can the mother of the bride book a trial too?

Yes. Mothers can book a trial at $450 (standard) or $550 (with Paige personally). Most mothers skip the trial and communicate preferences on the wedding day, but a trial is available — especially for mothers with specific photograph-readiness concerns.

Do you do men’s grooming for the groom or fathers at the same booking?

Men’s grooming is bookable as an add-on at $75 per service. Coordinate with the bride so the timeline includes a slot for the groom, father of the bride, or father of the groom.
